I want a six pack

I was chatting to colleague recently, who declared that I’d given a friend who wanted six-pack abs “bad advice” with regard to his diet and exercise. I was taken aback, and pushed to understand why they felt my advice was bad. Reason? Dogma.

I want a six-pack. Isn’t that always how it starts?

The holy grail of physique transformation where abdominal muscles stand proud, and ripple and glisten in response to your every movement. It matters not that this is invariably happening beneath your shirt, that few may ever know of your condition.

You know, and that’s all that matters.

But this post isn’t about the magic of ripped, lean abs. At least not directly.

It’s about the dogma surrounding diet and exercise which likely goes some way to
explaining why so many people fail to achieve their desired results.

Improve core strength with unilateral movements

Struggling to find time for your ab training? Not in love with ab training in general? In this post, I’ll show you how I exploit unilateral movements to improve core strength as part of my regular workout programming.

Frankly, I’ve never been one to do a lot of ab training, and as a result my core is definitely not as robust as I’d like.

I understand good core strength is important, and how that translates to a stable foundation for a whole host of other movements. I just don’t enjoy ab training.

I can see my abs

My AbsOn February 8th this year, I decided to set a new step-goal of seeing my absI can recall the date explicitly, as it’s the same day I signed-up for Adam Bornstein’s Getting Shredded event. Two months later… BOOM; abs!

Yup, that’s not stock imagery on on the right, that’s me sporting my new six-pack!
